Winston is a rescue.  He is a precious older dog... maybe 8 or so.  Appears to be a black poodle, terrior mix.  15 pounds.  He was found wandering around.  Alot of time has been spent waiting and trying to locate his owner without success.  From what we can tell, he has spent alot of time and attention with at least one person.  He understands human communication and interaction quite well and responds well.   Loves to ride in the car with the wind to his face, sitting in the driver's lap.  Hates the dog crate.. loves people food and sleeping in a human bed.  Likes cats and other dogs.  He's very calm and extremely well mannered & polite.... even when taking a bath.   Appears to be housebroken.   This little guy was someone's close companion.  This is very evident. 

He has all of his shots, is neutered and microchipped.  Heartworm negative.. just got a flea bath and a simple hair cut and style. He would normally have long hair all over.  Next week he is going in for dental work.  Enough could not be said about how nice this little guy is.  He is available to an approved home only and only to someone who is wanting a close companion.  He would do well with an elderly person.    Indoors only with a fenced in yard.  Winston is a wanderer and requires a fenced in yard.  He responds well to off and on lead commands.   References are required.  Contact Joanne at jmreitz@earthlink.net or 214-629-3647.
