Balco is a masculine, dark sable male with great bone, nice structure and a beautiful head. He is a fantastic working dog with extreme drive for all phases of the Schutzhund sport. His hunt drive is absolutely super and he has natural ability for the tracking phase. His food and toy drives are off the chart, and he is extremely fast and athletic in the obedience phase. Powerful best describes Balco in the protection phase. He is a very balanced dog with good active aggression in barking, and he demonstrates hard, full and calm grips.

He is definitely a product of his fantastic pedigree! When not working, he is absolutely calm, very social and stable in every situation. Balco has the total package, and we look forward to competing with him in the upcoming years, and seeing his puppies mature into top dog sports competitors, as well as stable family companions.

* Balco received his FH1 with 94 points

* Received his SchH2 with a ( 100-88-96)

* Balco qualified for the 2010 USA Schutzhund National in Reno

ANNEKA VON LAURELHAUS

Explosive Detection - Certified EOD

Hips OFA Good

Pedigree

Anneka is NNDDA EOD Certified and is one of our best working dogs.

She is the result of an exceptional combination of strong working and sheep-herding lines.  With the assistance of World re-known  Karl Fuller with the Kirschental Kennels we were able to acquire a nice female from some of  the very same lines that we've spent years working with.  Anneka's mother was this female.  Her name was Welie vom Kirschental.

Welie's mother, Jassie vom Kirschental is one of the best females to come out of the Kirschental Kennels.  She is also the mother to our other brood bitch Olivia vom Kirschental, who herself has produced many nice offspring.   Welie's father was also one of the finest working dogs to come out of Germany...not to mention kennels... a small kennel that produced several great dogs.  the Bosen Nachbarschaft Kennel.

Quasy von der bosen Nachbarschaft,

the 1998 WUSV World Champion was his name.  He is also the father to our own stud dog Quanto von den Treiser Hohlen... who has also sired many nice offspring from our kennel.  This all ties in quite well.

Quanto von den Treiser Hohlen

Rarely did Karl Fuller breed his herding females to a strong working male.  Quasy was one of those such dogs.  Olivia vom Kirschental is also out of these rare breedings.

Her East German sire, Glenn von der Hühnergasse was another rare crossover into these sheepherding lines.  Glenn passed on himself to Olivia.  The reason for this rarity is the barrier between the working & show lines.

In Germany, there are working line people, there are show line people.. and then there are the sheep-herding line people.  Due to the extremeness in alot of the working lines, Karl preferred to breed his females to exceptional show line males.

what a beautiful spirit of a dog.  a nice site that shows alot of photos of Glenn.  Some pictures as he's aged.  Precious to see the realness & beauty of a dog off the field.  This is a good site.

After alot of research & the help of Karl Fuller, we bred Welie to the soon-to-be world renown Falk von den Wolfen.  While he wasn't the highest titled dog to come out of Germany, he was by far the best at producing quality offspring.   He was the most utilized stud dog in Germany for 2 years... far exceeding the most heavily titled dogs.  It is in this respect that Germany has alot to teach us in America.    Titles don't make a great dog.  Falk is not only a great dog, he produced great dogs of great overall soundness and balance.

Falk von den Wölfen

This is very key in dog breeding.  Not many dogs like Falk have ever been produced, who in turn pass themselves onto their offspring.  This is what makes a great dog of great value in the world of the German Shepherd Breed.  Falk has made his mark in the history of the breed.

Falk is also one of the few dogs with an absolutely beautiful & sound structure.  His type is very similar to our own Quanto von den Treiser Hohlen.

So, that's Anneka's story..  we took the best lines that we've worked with and bred to the best producing male we could find.   Combining some of the greatest working dogs with some of the finest sheep-herding lines of well rounded soundness.   Our kennel was also the first in America to utilize Falk von den Wolfen in our breeding program.  That says something about our insight and commitment.

May God Bless you all,  Joanne

When he goes out to working line male, there is a reason... He liked the dog!  These working line crosses have been integral to our program & focus.  There is a great deal to be said about these sheep-herding dogs.

To this date, we've not seen the uniqueness in the  combination of blood lines that we've been working with.

The Kirschental dogs are also the foundation stock to the famous Fidelco Seeing eye dogs.
