GAP is an organization based here in the Dallas-Ft.Worth area that specializes in the placement of rescued working dog prospects.  Not only do they do a wonderful service to the many dog's lives that they save, they also provide desperately needed working canines to agencies.  They have developed a coordinated program with many animal rescue/shelter organizations across this part of Texas.  Click the logo above to go to their site.  To see available dogs, look at the bottom of my page, which has been updated as it becomes available to me.  I will try to get their evaluation process up on my site as soon as I am able.  I believe that the labs below are soft-mouthed (no heavy tuggers, if that's what you are looking for) retrievers and do very well on extensive unstable surfaces.

Chick Gardner has been working with many governmental organizations around the country and has extensive knowledge in the evaluation process.  He and his group, some of whom I have worked with for many years, are quite knowledgeable in what to look for in a working prospect.

They are a non-profit organization and depend on donations.  Of course all donations are appreciated :)

Please do not contact me about these dogsContact the director of this program Chick Gardner at (817) 441-1541 or leem2@flash.net
